Inspirational quote

Do what is necessary to become who you want to be?I Chose this quote/picture because I like the way it sounds and it's so true, it speaks to me in a way, it says; do what you love (for example a hobby or job) and love what you do, it says there's no point in doing something you don't like even if its maybe a fancy high paying job or playing a sport that you don't like just to please your parents or because your friends are playing it, do what you love for example certain clubs, jobs, sports, crafting, anything! Even if others might think you weird for doing it. This quote says be you, don't pretend to be someone else!

  1. Hi Maiya,
I am here with Block 1 responding to your post. Lily appreciates the variety of examples you gave to explain your quote. We think you must feel very passionate about this topic as you wrote in such an excited manner that your first sentence is a really long run-on and this tells us that you did not stop to take a breath. Consider reposting after you fix your run-ons by trying to see where the complete thoughts end. Alternatively, use MS Word so that you have a spell and grammar check to help you with run-on sentences. Julia likes the bold and colourful choices in font and highlight; however, Ronald finds it more difficult to read because they are too bright for him. This is a personal choice but something to consider when writing online. Matthew agrees with the quote you chose and Ms Lees says it reminds her of an old Confuciaous saying, "If you choose a job you love, you won't have to work a day in your life."

    1. Oops! see I just noticed I spelled Confucious wrong as I did not follow my own advice - Bill tried to remind me to copy and paste into word to check but I hit the Publish button too quickly.

  2. Hi Maiya
I also like this quote that you decided to pick. I likes how you sounded really passionate about your quote and i absolutely agree that you should not do something that you don't love! I can relate to your comment my grandparents want me to join piano but i said that i was just not passionate about it and that there is no point in spending money all for something that i don't really even want to do !
    From Kaylee.

  3. Hi Maiya,
I really like the quote you chose because I feel that if you don't do what you love, you might not get much done with it because you are focused on other things.
    As Ms. Lees says,
"If you choose a job you love, then you won't have to work a day in your life."
For example I play soccer almost every day of the week. To some people that might sound like a lot of work but it doesn't feel like it because I love it! Maybe next time you could keep the highlighting to a minimum, and just highlight a few important words to make it easier to read. Great job Maiya! I agree with you, Kaylee and Matthew, that you should always do what you love.
